Since 1935, the women parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes Church have gathered together monthly in friendship and spiritual sharing. Meetings are currently held September through June on the first Monday  after the first Sunday of the month following the Novena Mass.

The primary mission of this society is to increase devotion to Our Lady and sustain the beauty of the church altar by maintaining the altar linens and coordinating the weekly, as well as Eater and Christmas, flowers on the altar. In addition, we also purchase banners that enhance the beauty of our front altars.

Other activities include:

  • Praying for the sick and deceased members of our parish community

  • Sending greeting cards to the sick and visiting shut-ins of our parish

  • Sponsoring graduation awards for our young females altar servers

  • Offering charitable contributions to our parish and community

  • Distributing Miraculous Medals to the school children

  • Coordinating the Rosary Society Memorial Fund

  • Organizing the annual communion breakfast

  • Sponsoring the annual retreat for women

  • During Baptisms, presents a rosary and rose to the mother of the newly baptized baby

If honoring Our Blessed Mother, sharing your talents and resources to help others and having fun with those who share in your spiritual beliefs sounds exciting to you, then join the Altar Rosary Society! For more information, please contact Trina Appicelli by calling the rectory at 732-828-0011 and leaving a message.
